Understand Flipinator search slots and checking intervals

A search slot is room for one active search at a particular checking interval. The useful question is not how many items you hope to find, but how many separate marketplace searches you want running at each timing. Understanding that distinction makes it easier to reuse capacity without accidentally changing your buying plan or subscription.

Count active searches, not keywords or matches

Each active Flipinator search watches one marketplace and uses one slot at its selected timing. Adding a price limit, another required detail or a useful exclusion does not use another slot. A search that finds many matching listings still occupies the same slot, and a rare-item search that finds nothing still needs capacity while it remains active.

Another marketplace needs a separate search and another slot. If you want a local bicycle search on Facebook Marketplace and a separate bicycle search on eBay, count two active searches. Their buying brief may be similar, but their marketplace, available controls and results remain separate. A complete bicycle and a replacement wheel may also deserve separate searches because they are different buying jobs.

Keep a separate count for each checking interval

Flipinator presents 1-minute, 10-minute and hourly checking options where the account and marketplace support them. A slot belongs to its timing. An available hourly slot does not become a 1-minute slot simply because a faster search is more important today. Review the used, total and available capacity for each timing in Settings before activating or resuming a search.

Consider an illustrative account with two 10-minute slots and one hourly slot. If two searches are active at 10 minutes, that timing is full even when the hourly slot is unused. You can use the hourly slot for an eligible hourly search, or pause one 10-minute search to make room at 10 minutes. This example explains counting only; it is not a plan offer or a statement about your account.

Choose timing for the buying job you will act on

Give faster capacity to a search whose results you can realistically review and act on. A scarce exact model may deserve more attention than a broad, long-term furniture idea. Faster checking does not make a listing suitable, reserve an item or replace seller and condition checks. It also cannot make a quiet marketplace produce stock.

Use the timings actually offered for the selected marketplace and account. If you want to change an existing search's timing, review whether capacity is available at the new timing and read the saved summary before confirming. Do not count the old slot as interchangeable with the new one. If a change is unavailable, keeping the current search or reviewing the plan is clearer than repeatedly rewriting its keywords.

Pause to reuse capacity without discarding the setup

Pausing stops the search from actively checking and frees its slot at that timing while keeping the saved setup. This suits completed purchases, seasonal needs and searches that have become less useful. In the example above, pausing one 10-minute search leaves room for another 10-minute search, not an extra 1-minute search.

Before resuming, check that the buying need, marketplace, location and criteria still make sense and that room remains at the saved timing. If another search has taken the slot, decide which job matters more or review the current plan. Flipinator does not silently replace the other search. Delete only when you no longer need the saved setup, since deletion is not the same decision as pausing.

Separate search capacity, device alerts and subscription billing

Turning off notifications on a phone or browser does not free a search slot. Device permission controls alerts on that device; the active search can still produce matches in Feed. Likewise, adding a phone or signing in through another browser does not create another copy of every search or require another subscription just for that device.

Pausing a search frees capacity but does not pause subscription billing. Manage or cancel through the place where you subscribed, and review the renewal and access information shown there. One Flipinator account has one active subscription. An App Store or Google Play purchase stays managed through that store rather than through a second web subscription.

Review the actual plan before buying more capacity

List the active searches you genuinely need by timing before reviewing plans. Pause completed or duplicate jobs first. If your needs still exceed capacity, compare the plan's mix of slots with that list rather than choosing by a single total. A larger overall count can still leave the timing you need full.

The pricing page explains the web plan structure, while your account, checkout or app store shows the options, amounts and terms applicable to the purchase. Check quantities at every timing, billing period, currency, total, renewal and any affected searches before confirming. Do not infer a price, trial duration or access change from an illustrative example in a guide.

A practical checklist

  • Count one slot for every active single-marketplace search.
  • Keep separate used and available counts for each timing.
  • Count another marketplace as another search and slot.
  • Pause completed buying jobs before adding capacity.
  • Check the saved timing and available slots before resuming.
  • Do not confuse disabled device alerts with a paused search.
  • Manage subscription billing separately from search controls.
  • Review actual quantities, price and renewal terms before purchasing.

Common questions

Do additional keywords or more matches use another slot?

No. One active search uses one slot at its chosen timing. Search details, edits and the number of matching listings do not create extra slot use.

Can I move a slot to another marketplace?

Pause or remove the search using it, then activate another eligible search at the same timing. The new marketplace must be available for your location. A slot does not become a different checking interval.

Why can I not resume a search when another interval has space?

Capacity is separate for each timing. Check room at the search's saved timing, pause a less useful search there or review the available plan options.

Does pausing stop subscription charges?

No. Pausing frees the search slot, not subscription billing. Use the subscription management route for the place where you purchased.

Does using my account on a second device use more search slots?

No. You use the same account and searches across supported devices. Browser or mobile device alerts require permission on each device.
