FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Free trial and plan changes
What does the free trial include?
Eligible new accounts receive two hourly search slots for seven days after completing account setup. Each active search watches one marketplace. The trial is available once per eligible identity.
Will the trial charge me automatically?
No. The complimentary trial does not create a paid subscription. You choose and confirm a subscription separately if you want paid capacity.
What happens when my trial ends?
Searches without continuing plan capacity pause automatically. Your searches and settings remain saved. You receive account emails when the trial starts, shortly before it ends and when it ends.
Will subscribing restart my paused searches?
Searches paused because capacity ended can resume when your plan has available slots. Flipinator keeps the current interval where possible, or moves the search to an available plan interval and notifies you. Searches you paused yourself stay paused.
What happens if I reduce or change my plan?
Searches use the slots available when the change takes effect. They keep their current interval where possible, may move to an available plan interval, and pause if no slot remains. Adding capacity can resume searches paused for capacity. Review the account notice and each search’s current interval.
Does cancelling renewal stop searches immediately?
Access follows your subscription’s effective end date and payment status. A scheduled cancellation can leave paid capacity available until that date. When capacity ends, uncovered searches pause automatically. Check the current subscription details in Settings.
Searches and marketplaces
What does Flipinator do?
You describe an item, choose one supported marketplace and a confirmed location, then save a search. New matching listings appear in Feed.
Can one search cover several marketplaces?
No. Each search watches one marketplace. Create a separate search for another marketplace so source, location, results and capacity remain clear.
Does Flipinator guarantee every listing?
No service can promise every listing. Availability, marketplace behavior and public listing surfaces can change.
Does Flipinator need my marketplace password?
No. Never enter a marketplace password or sign-in code into Flipinator.
Can AI create the search for me?
AI assistance can propose editable details from an ordinary description. You review and save the final search, and the normal composer remains available.
Feed and alerts
Where do new matches appear?
Matches appear in Feed with their image, title, price, place, age, marketplace and source search.
How are alerts delivered?
Listing alerts use browser and native mobile push on devices where you allow permission. Trial and account notices are separate transactional emails.
Why did the site not ask for notification permission immediately?
Permission is contextual. Flipinator waits until you save a useful search or deliberately enable alerts in Settings.
Will Feed work if alerts are off?
Yes. Device permission controls interruption on that device, not access to Feed or the search itself.
Can I choose sound or quiet hours?
Use the browser or operating-system notification controls for sound, summaries, Focus and interruption behavior.
Search filters and AI matching
What is the difference between the search keyword and AI criteria?
The keyword is the short query sent to the marketplace. AI match criteria describe the features, alternatives and dealbreakers that make a returned listing useful to you. Both remain editable.
Does every search use AI matching?
Yes. AI setup helps draft the search settings, while Manual setup lets you edit them directly. Both use AI match criteria for the saved search.
Can I exclude particular words from listing titles?
Yes. In Manual setup, open Advanced options and add an Exclude a match word filter for Listing title. Prefer a precise phrase such as "case only" over a broad accessory word that could appear in a useful bundle.
Do comma-separated words mean every word must appear?
No. Any value can satisfy one filter. Separate Require a match filters must each be satisfied.
How do I match an exact word or phrase?
Use double quotes in the word-filter field. Unquoted text can match inside a word. Matching ignores capitals in both cases.
Can I filter the place shown on a listing?
Yes. Require or exclude matching words in Location shown. This checks listing text, not a precise map boundary, and broader place names can affect the result.
Does Always keep a match ignore all my other requirements?
No. A matching title takes priority over other title word filters. Location filters and AI criteria still apply.
Can I search by model year or condition?
Use the supported fields shown for your marketplace. Auto Trader has vehicle type, make, model and year-range controls. Condition and category options vary by marketplace and location.
Why did a useful listing get filtered out?
Check the saved search and the Filtered out view in Feed. A required title word may be missing, an exclusion may be too broad, or AI criteria may demand information the listing does not provide.
Do more filters use more search slots?
No. One active search uses one slot at its selected interval. Adding search details does not increase that slot count.
Capacity and purchases
What is a search slot?
One active search uses one slot at its selected interval, regardless of marketplace or the number of details.
What happens when I pause?
The search stops actively checking and its slot becomes available. The saved setup remains ready to resume.
Where can I see current prices?
Open the plan controls in Settings. The purchase screen shows current capacity, currency, renewal and the total before you confirm.
Can I have web and app-store billing at the same time?
An account cannot hold conflicting active access from two billing providers. The product explains the active provider and management path.
Accounts, devices and safety
Which devices are supported?
Flipinator provides responsive web plus native iOS and Android apps, including phone and tablet layouts. Store availability depends on app review.
Do searches stop when I close the app?
No. Active searches continue independently of the app being open. Device alerts still depend on permission, connectivity and notification settings.
Do I need a subscription for each phone?
No. Sign in to the same Flipinator account to use its search capacity across supported devices. Each device has its own notification permission.
Will uninstalling the app cancel my subscription?
No. Manage cancellation through the provider that sold the subscription. The plan controls in Settings show the appropriate management path.
How do I restore a store purchase?
Use Restore purchases in the plan controls while signed in to the expected Flipinator and store accounts. Restore checks an existing purchase rather than buying another subscription.
Is Flipinator a marketplace or seller?
No. Flipinator is an independent search and alert product. The original marketplace remains responsible for listings, seller tools and transactions.
Does a match prove an item is safe or authentic?
No. Review the original listing, seller, condition, ownership, safety, authenticity and payment path yourself.
How do I delete my account?
Sign in, open Settings and choose account deletion. A separate help page explains the process if you cannot sign in.
